IT Services segment
Overview
IT Services segment provides IT services to large and medium-sized Russian and CIS customers and government agencies. It designs and implements IT solutions for clients which serve to increase the efficiency and transparency of their business. We provide consulting services to analyse the clients' business processes and advise on how a client's IT system should be designed. Our management information systems business line designs, customises and provides software and IT infrastructure. Our IT infrastructure business line provides design, delivery and supply of computer platforms, networking equipment and data storage systems. For clients who want to outsource all or part of their IT, the IT outsourcing business line provides outsourced IT solutions to support and service clients' software and hardware needs.

Consulting
The consulting business line is engaged in advising clients on improving their business processes. The Group's consultants analyse an area of clients operations and provide advice on how it should be optimised.
The consulting products and services of the Group include:
- financial consulting: enhancing clients' financial and management information, improving resource deployment and financial planning;
- operational consulting: describing, streamlining and organising business processes to improve efficiency, coordinate resources and increase flexibility;
- HR consulting: building an efficient human resources management system;
- IT consulting: ensuring information systems meet business requirements; and
- Sector-specific solutions, for example in education and government sectors.
Management Information Systems
The Management Information Systems ("MIS") business line provides installation and customisation of various management information systems including full-scale ERP systems, analytical systems, integration solutions and services in order to help automate routine procedures and support business operations.
After many years of cooperation with leading global vendors, the Group has developed considerable experience of the MIS systems implementation. One of ourstrengths is the industry-specific experience, which enables us to tailor our solutions to the specific needs of companies as well as public sector organisations.
Our experience in working on a large number of implementations or upgrades gives us significant know-how in dealing with industry specific problems which we can utilise on future projects; increasing the efficiency of rolling out new systems. We believe that this know-how and sector specific knowledge increases the efficiency of system delivery.
Our portfolio of solutions includes ERP systems, application integration solutions, analytical systems, document management systems, property management systems, manufacturing systems and vertical industry solutions. Many projects will utilise and integrate a number of different solutions, for example an ERP system implementation may also include a document management system and application integration solutions.
The main products in our MIS product portfolio are:
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems: ERP systems provide the tools for managing resources by integrating all of the company’s business processes and information into a single system and produce enhanced financial and management information. This information assists businesses in complying with international accounting standards which are a major reason for implementing an ERP system.
The Group develops ERP systems for companies across a number of industries using software such as SAP Business Suite, Oracle e-Business Suite, Microsoft Dynamics and 1C: Enterprise.
More than 500 ERP implementation consultants enable us to implement large, complex and non-standard projects.
Application Integration solutions: Many businesses use a wide variety of IT systems which can result in duplicated data, inconsistent data and other problems resulting from a lack of integration between the systems. Application Integration solutions can overcome some of these problems by sharing data between the different systems and compiling data from different systems into a single place. For example, a client may operate a CRM system (which would track all key information about a client's customer) and a financial system (which would include information on that customer's payment record). An application integration solution such as a client information portal would extract information from the CRM system and the financial system and present a complete picture on the customer, including all information from the CRM system and the customer's payment record.
Our integration solutions use software products from a number of global vendors including IBM, Microsoft, BEA, Oracle and Tibco.
Analytical systems (Business Analytics): These products are typically specialised add-ons to accounting and/or ERP systems already used our clients and can be implemented quickly, often within 3-4 months. Analytical systems take data from across all client's information systems and allow clients to analyse and present that data in many different ways providing them with information about business trends and assisting with business planning and decision making.
The Group’s analytical systems use software from leading global vendors including SAP AG, Oracle, Cognos, Microsoft and PowerSim.
Document Management systems: The Group builds systems, which enable organisations to share and manage documents as well as integrated data within an ERP system, with information coming from standard ERP documents, business partner data warehouses and standard system directories.
Property Management systems: Property management systems help manage business properties with the core objective of enabling property to be used and managed more efficiently and managing the information generated by ownership of large portfolios of property.
Manufacturing systems: These systems handle all aspects of production processes and also manage equipment maintenance, costs accounting for specific sites and/or processes, monitoring of equipment (breakdowns, idle time etc) and transmission of information to the ERP system and data analysis.
Vertical industry solutions: The Group provides its own proprietary MIS products developed for certain niche sectors, including, for example, gas stations automation, and municipal and regional budget solutions.
IT Infrastructure
IT Infrastructure is the platform on which IT systems run. IT infrastructure business line provides design, delivery and supply of computer platforms, networking equipment and data storage systems. Our infrastructure solutions cover data networks, telephony systems, data warehousing and processing centres, corporate platforms, control and operating systems and information security systems.
The Group uses hardware and software produced by global industry leaders such as APC, Avaya, Cisco Systems, Dell, Fujitsu Siemens, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, Sun Microsystems and Symantec.
The services offered by the Group within IT Infrastructure area include audit of existing infrastructure, analysis of infrastructure requirements, infrastructure system design, infrastructure equipment and software supply and setup, trial operation and acceptance tests, warranty services and post-warranty support.
IT Outsourcing
IT Outsourcing involves the transfer of the management of information technology-related functions to an external service provider. Organisations may seek to outsource certain IT functions for a number of reasons, including to save costs, improve the quality of the services, standardise their IT functions or simply focus on their core business without the distraction that complex IT systems bring. IT outsourcing services are provided by the Company under the "IBS Datafort" sub -brand.
Whereas the division's Consulting, MIS and Infrastructure business line have no contracted ongoing revenue beyond the conclusion of the specific project, the Outsourcing business is contract based with a significant element of recurring revenue.
IBS Datafort has been operating in the Russian IT outsourcing market for over eight years and offers outsourced IT services to over 120 Russian and international companies. It operates regional partner network through which it has more than 150 service centres located in all Russian regions. The Group has two data centres in Moscow from which its outsourced off site processing and storage facilities are provided. IBS Datafort offers both outsourcing of IT resources (such as providing dedicated computing resources including data centre infrastructure) and outsourcing of IT functions (such as desktop support, network and server infrastructure management and service desk).

Software Development segment
Overview
Software Development segment aims to undertake complex software development projects for corporate clients, mainly in Western Europe and the US. We focuse on development of customised, sophisticated software in areas requiring a tailored approach performed by teams of programmers located at offshore development centers or at the customer site. The Group delivers specific solutions for various industries, including aviation, finance and banking, IT industry and others.
Software Development is represented by Luxoft company. Founded in April 2000, Luxoft is primarily a technology solution provider. Its services range from the design and development of custom software applications to the maintenance and improvement of existing software. Luxoft’s technology solutions assist its customers to increase the efficiency of their IT infrastructure.
Luxoft is a holder of the CMMI Level 5 Certificate, which it was awarded in 2007 by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI), a global resource in software engineering and process improvement.

Application Development and Maintenance
The Group offers new application development, application reengineering and migration as well as application maintenance services both, for core business applications and back-office IT solutions.
We cover the entire scope of the new application development process including requirements definition and feasibility study preparation, project estimation, architecture design, user interface design, system implementation and test design, system acceptance, integration with other client systems, documentation development and user training.
Application reengineering and migration services relate to legacy software applications that have been in use by a company for many years and that support unique processes of an organisation. Legacy software applications are often built on obsolete, inefficient platforms which are difficult to maintain and update. The Group transforms legacy software into easy to use applications designed to respond to growing business needs.
Application maintenance services include preventive, refining or repairing services for software systems. Preventive maintenance may include system refurbishing, refactoring and renewing. Routine maintenance activities include system performance check-ups, testing, minor repairs and other similar activities.
Embedded Systems Development
The Group provides full lifecycle software engineering services focused on embedded and real-time systems. The Group develops automotive (infotainment and ECUs), industrial automation (SCADA, control systems, WSN), telecommunications, navigation and GIS systems, avionics, marine electronics, digital signal processing, media processing on embedded devices (Audio and Video), and medical devices.
We have executed development projects for new products as well as delivered services for existing products, including testing and verification.
Software Quality Assurance
The Group’s software quality assurance practice provides independent testing solutions to organisations' high- reliability or mission-critical software including functional and regression testing, API testing, load and stress testing, compatibility and configuration testing, usability testing, security testing, data migration and conversion testing.
IT Infrastructure Management
The Group designs, builds and upgrades IT infrastructure, allowing a client's system administrator or our IT management center to monitor the performance of the various IT systems and the corporate network. The Group creates networks, data centers and web-hosting facilities and is involved in IT infrastructure design and improvement, security consulting and quality certification consulting.
Architecture Services
IT architecture determines performance of IT systems, security, cost of ownership, scalability and ability to upgrade and add new services, all of which affect critical business processes. To respond to these needs, the Group designs data centers, online services, business applications, end-user computing and security solutions which are adaptive to changes and are scalable and interoperable. The Group assists clients to measure, analyse and predict business performance pitfalls, allocate resources and understand how the business and its processes are performing at any given moment.
Security Consulting Services
The Group's security consulting services help clients design security systems that guard against data losses, pre-empt and mitigate risks while ensuring regulatory compliance according to industry standards. Clients are provided with a security strategy and the supporting architecture designed to enable them to safeguard their applications, data and networks and to track and resolve incidents without performance degrading.
Typical tasks include security strategy and policy development, secure infrastructure design, including firewall and intrusion protection design, identity and access management, vulnerability assessment as well as management and certification consulting.
Performance Engineering
Performance engineering services help clients find and resolve applications and network performance problems, understand performance and usage characteristics, test and validate performance and design and build high performance systems. Performance testing solutions are designed to help clients understand the impact of making significant changes to their IT systems. The Group's offerings range from coaching clients' IT teams to providing expertise and resources to the implementation of performance improvement recommendations. The Group's sizing and capacity planning services help clients assess the usage levels required to implement new or expand mission critical systems.
Process Consulting
The Group offers process consulting, thereby providing clients with customised process frameworks, aiming at improving the business performance through increased productivity and reduced cycle times. The Group's services include software process capability development and improvement, data centers and project infrastructure implementation, metrics and measurement analysis and implementation, methodology and process training, quality center and software engineering process team set-up and quality appraisal preparation.
