IBS IT Services is Russia’s largest IT services provider for the fourth consecutive year, according to IDC research
IBS IT Services, a member company of IBS Group Holding Limited, has been recognised Russia’s largest IT services provider for the fourth consecutive year.
This is according to the research – Competitive Profiles and Analysis of Leading IT Services Players in Russia 2010, prepared by IDC, the global market research firm.
According to IDC, the entire market declined 12 per cent in ruble terms in 2009. However, IBS has retained its market share, which is over 6 per cent, despite the market decline.
Analysts note the leading positions of IBS in the key IT market segments. IBS has been named the absolute leader in the application consulting and customization services market, with a share of approx. 17.5 per cent. Analysts specially note the company’s broad expertise in implementation of business applications on the SAP and Oracle platforms.
IBS also ranks among the top three players in two other key markets – the custom application development market and the hosted infrastructure services market.
According to IDC, IBS achieved good results in the crisis period due to its focus on the largest Russian customers which suffered less during the crisis, implementation of long-lasting IT solutions implementation projects which were not suspended during the crisis, and high quality management.
The report also notes among IBS strengths a high degree of business diversification, effective SAP and Oracle implementation teams, and availability of sufficient human and technical resources for complicated large-scale projects.
IDC analysts forecast the Russian IT services market will continue to recover gradually in the next two years.
According to IDC, large-scale projects in the government, banking, and oil and gas sectors will be the main driver during this recovery period. IDC expects that will help the Russian IT services market to reach its pre-crisis level by the end of 2012.
