In 2007 Report, IDC Reconfirms IBS Leadership in Russian IT Services
The sales of IT services totalled $4.8 billion in 2007.
This represented a 47.2% market growth in 2007 compared with 2006.
IBS with its 6.9% market share in 2007 reaffirmed its last year’s position as the top IT services provider in Russia.
In addition to that, IBS takes the lead in implementing business applications (a key segment of IT services), holding about 21% of the market, nearly three times ahead of its next closest competitor.
IDC also provided a new forecast for Russian IT services through 2012, whereby CAGR went up from 21.3% to 34.2%.
The largest vertical markets to consume IT services in 2007 included finance, government, telecommunications, power and utilities. The most significant growth was observed in education, government organizations and power segments that grew way ahead of the overall IT services market compared with 2006.
