What is the headcount of IBS Group?

On average, the Group employed 2,300 and 3,100 employees for the financial years ended 2004 and 2005. As at March 31, 2006, the Group had around 6,000 employees, of which approximately 90 per cent. are located in Moscow. The Group intends to hire more people in regional areas of Russia in order to take advantage of a lower cost environment.

What kind of strategy the Group has?

The Group’s strategy is to build and maintain a leading position in the markets in which it operates by leveraging project experience, multi-industry expertise, competence in sophisticated software applications, an efficient logistics chain and highly skilled human resources. The Group seeks to increase its revenue and profitability by increasing the share of service-based revenues and seeking to diversify its revenue base through international exposure. The Group intends to focus on professional IT services and offshore programming – the two areas where it is particularly strong.

In order to maintain and develop its leading market position, the Group intends to focus on the following elements of its strategy:

  • maintain leadership in the areas of its expertise;
  • exploit intra-Group synergies and cross-selling opportunities;
  • achieve superior growth both organically and through acquisitions;
  • attract the best people;
  • and maintain the Group’s advisory role to the government in the hi-tech sector.
